   The Department of Education began in 1987 to offer a four-year undergraduate program of elementary education. With its growing, the graduate institute of education was approved in 1992 to offer a graduate program, and later a docatoral program in 2000.
   Currently, the Department of Education provides a certificate program for undergraduates and four graduate programs for master degree and one dorctoral degree program. The major purpose of the Department is to prepare students for certificated elementary school teachers as well as educational specialists.
   The graduate programs offer the study in three areas:(1) general education (confer Master and Doctoral degree), (2) curriculum and instruction (confer Master degree), and (3) educational administration and management (confer Master degree).
   Since the mission of the Department is to cultivate and train students for professional educators.Therefore,   individuals who enter the program are requested to create, reflect , and advance knowledge of, and professional practice in, teaching and learning. This mission is accomplished through micro-teaching activities, practicum in the field, and modeling.
   Upon graduation, the undergraduate students may be eligible to take the national certificate examination, and request the teacher license in order to work in schools. For both undergraduate and graduate students may include the following opportunities:.
 ●teachers, administrators, or principals;
 ●officers in education-related governmental agencies;
 ●to pursue advanced studies in higer degree(master’s and doctoral program) becoming education schorlars;
 ●teachers of after-school programs;
facilitators of in-service training programs, entrepreneurships, or human resources-related agencies.
